Elopements have always held a special place in my heart. My wife and I married 13 years ago, before I'd ever heard the words adventure elopement — and I'm certain that if we'd known it was possible, it's exactly what we would have chosen. Back then, I was a fairly new photographer shooting engagement sessions out in nature, and I already knew that was where I felt most alive behind the camera. When I discovered elopements, everything clicked.
But here's what I mean by adventure — it isn't only mountains and remote trails. Adventure is going somewhere you've never been, taking the chance that not everything will go to plan, and choosing to marry the person you love anyway. That leap of faith into a life together is the real adventure. The landscape is just where we get to celebrate it.
So don't let "just the two of you" fool you into thinking smaller. An elopement isn't a downsized wedding — it's a full day, built entirely around you, with none of the parts that don't matter to you and all the room for the parts that do. Fewer people often means more freedom, more play, and more time to actually be present. This is still your wedding day. We just get to spend it your way.

You're not models, and with me you'll never feel like it. I direct you gently — more play than posing — so the moments stay real and you forget the camera's even there. And because I shoot photo and film at the same time, in wide, cinematic frames, you walk away with a gallery and a highlight film that hold both you and the breathtaking place you stood in.

03.
Natural for you

There's no single way to elope, so we build yours. Just the two of you? Perfect — a day that belongs to no one else. Want a few of your favorite people? We can host a small ceremony — up to around ten guests — near your cabin, hotel, or Airbnb, then slip away to the mountain at first light for just the two of you. Or say your vows at sunrise on a summit and come back down for a reception with everyone that evening. You dream the shape of the day; I help you make it real.

02.
Design around you

Most couples have a feeling for where they want to be, but not how to pull it off — and that's my favorite part. I help you find and lock the location, build a realistic timeline around sunrise and the light, and handle the things you'd never think to ask about: permits, trail conditions, a backup if the weather turns. The wild place becomes your venue, and I make sure it actually works on the day.

WHAT YOU RECEIVE

The entire process was made very simple. Eugene helped me plan the entire wedding, pretty much. He literally had our preview photos to us that night. They were everything I asked for — sweeping vistas, stunning views, and my new husband and I looking… well, great. He understood exactly what we were looking for and just nailed it.

INVESTMENT

Less than you'd think. My line is simple: usually fewer than about 15 guests — not the location, not the budget, just a more intimate vibe. A Yosemite wedding or a luxury-hotel ceremony can both be elopements.
Not at all — adventure is about the leap, not the terrain. I recently shot a three-day elopement at Palazzo Avino on the Amalfi Coast; a cliffside hotel counts just as much as a glacier at dawn.
No. My pricing is the same either way — you're investing in how your day is captured, not paying per guest. (The short City Hall & Chapel option is the one simpler exception.)
Yes — up to around 15. We can host a small ceremony near your stay, then slip away just the two of you, or keep it completely private. Your call.
Absolutely — some of my favorites run several days (Amalfi was three). Coverage is built around your itinerary, not a clock.
Yes — permits (national parks especially) are part of how I plan with you. For the marriage license I'll point you to the right resources and can help you find an officiant.
We plan for it, always with a backup location or time. Some of the best photos come from the days that didn't go to plan.
Yes — both at once, by one artist, so your gallery and film match. Preview in 24 hours, everything within 50 days.
